The Awesome Privilege of Choice!

..... "..... Therefore choose life ..... loving the Lord your God, obeying HIS voice and holding fast to HIM, for HE is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers..... " (Deuteronomy 30: 26-28)

Hello dearies! Indeed today is a good day! Yes today is an awesome day to be alive!  God be Praised!

I Pray y'all are good and blessed.

I wanna share with you, the awesome privilege of choice that God has Blessed us with. Yes, again I say, the awesome privilege of choice, and it is indeed a blessing. :)

People often ask me, Adeola, you seem to have no issues, no problems, you are always happy! Lol! Well, the true reality is that I do have challenges, I do have times of "it could be better", times of expecting blessings, answers that tarry a bit. Times, when the outcomes are absolutely different from expected, totally unpalatable.

But then, what do I do in those seasons, I CHOOSE!

Rather than be upset, I CHOOSE to be Happy, rather than lose faith, I CHOOSE to Trust and Believe in God's promises to me "that all things work together for my good, for it will get better (Romans 8:28)! Rather than cry over mistakes, I CHOOSE to see it as a lesson learnt and CHOOSE to move on.

Rather than wait, I CHOOSE to make the first move and another and another and another if need be. Rather than get upset with that person, I CHOOSE to make excuses for them and CHOOSE to give LOVE (after all, they are going through their own stuff and probably do not understand yet the awesome privilege of CHOICE that God has given us!) Besides, who is perfect? We are all working to be better everyday.

Most importantly,  rather than give up, I CHOOSE to Live Life Awesomely.

Believe me, it is not always easy. Many times, I am Happy (not! lol!), many times I have been hurt, many times, friends and family say nice (not) things, many times, I don't get my desired outcome(s)

Then I remember, how much God Loves me and mine! I remember also, that HE gave me the awesome privilege of CHOICE! I remember that I create my outcomes with my CHOICES, Then I CHOOSE to forge ahead, yet again, and again, based on my desired outcome!

GOD CHOSE to Love Us, regardless of how faithful (not) we have been, how much more us HIS magnificently crafted beings to our fellow magnificently crafted beings! :)

Life is a journey, an experience of choices we make every second, the earlier we CHOOSE to enjoy this awesome journey of Life, the better the quality. Yes, there will be storms (blessed rain), yes there will be mountains (stepping stones/launching pads to soar), yes there will be mistakes (lessons learnt), but the difference is that we CHOOSE!

So, would you CHOOSE to CHOOSE the awesome privilege of CHOICE that God has blessed us with? Selah.

Enjoy your awesome weekend darlings, and remember, you have the awesome privilege of CHOICE. Shalom.

..... stay encompassed in God's Love. It's the most ecstatic place to be! ..... Shalom!

God's Steadfast Love, Indeed, It Never Ceases!

..... "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness....." Lamentations 3:22-23(KJV)

Hello dearies, how are we today? It is an Awesome Sunday innit?  A Beautiful Day to be alive.

Today, I simply want to remind us of the awesomeness of God's Love. How amazing!

Often times we get so carried away, focused on the seeming challenges we go through. Yet we forget that but for God's awesome Love that preserves and sustains us, we will not even have those challenges to worry about in the first place! Ironic isn't it?

We have the breath of life in our lungs! Our eyes blink open! Food on our table (even if it is one meal, at least we had one) A roof over our heads, a mat (bed) to lay on! The sun on our skin, the wind ruffling through our hair! Water to drink! Friends, Family, Colleagues to relate with. A Husband/Wife to Love (or even bicker, with, lol!) Excited voices of our awesome children (born and soon to be born).

Yes there are issues and bills to take care of, but hey? there is hope for tomorrow! We will get there! In fact, better to Praise through the journey, than be miserable. Indeed Let Every(one)thing that hath breadth Praise the Lord (Psalm 150:6) for ALL things work together for our Good! (Romans 8:28)

How about choosing this week to pause, ponder and count the little blessings in our lives! Rather than complain, why not thank God instead? rather than respond to that person in anger, why not give a smile? rather than complain about that issue, how about thanking  God for solution that will surely come.

Our God is an awesome God, His Love transcends the Heavens and the Earth. Can we simply rest and bask in this knowledge this new week?

Have an awesome blessed and favored week ahead folks, surely, we will have numerous things to bless God for.

..... and remember to keep basking in God's awesome Love ..... It's the most blissful place! Shalom

...It's The Little Things ....

..... "The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself....." Proverbs 11:25 (NKJV)

Hello everyone. How are we today? How has the weather been? and preps for the school holidays? Yea I know! So much to sort! It is all well.

So this morning, I picked up a lady on my way to work (I actually try to do that often, my own small social responsibility :)  and when she got down, she thanked me profusely. "God Bless you so much ma"! My heart swelled with joy, so little for me but so much for her! .

A little ahead, I saw another lady with a baby on her back, I picked her too! :) and of course by the time I dropped her off she had a smile on her face! Beneath my breath, I muttered  a simple prayer for both ladies for God to bless them and meet them at the point of their needs! Two people touched with my little mite! My heart was aglow!

And it struck me, it's the little things! Yes. the little and seeming little things!....

Seriously, it's not the big things! If you can do the big things, then by all means go ahead!, but you don't have to feed the whole of a village! It doesn't have to be some grand show! What you see as small may be a windfall for another. The most important thing is that God who sees in secret will reward accordingly.

Many times, we are under undue pressure to do so much! even beyond our own capacity! Hello darlings, this is not a circus show! It's all about God Almighty! HE is the only audience we need to please. He sees our hearts and knows our various issues. We need not get overly worked up about what is beyond us at a particular point in time

Someone might say.. "how can I pick up strangers? It's not safe! I know someone who was mugged when they helped"... hmmmm

Someone else may say, "but I don't have a car" ... "I can barely pay my transport fare" Yes it understandable, but what works for YOU?!  You can give a smile, you can give a (genuine) complement, you can say a word of prayer, or you can simply keep a grateful heart and bless God for the breath of Life!

Something must work for you! What can you do? It's the little things. Like little drops of water into a bucket, they add up! It may take time and patience, but hey, you did a good deed along the way :) .

There is always a good reward for every kind deed with the right motives. God sees and He rewards, that's so sure and I am a witness.

So today, make up your mind. Do your little bit, shine you little light! a tiny ember can light up a forest. And our awesome God who sees all will replenish you abundantly!

Enjoy the rest of the week and long weekend. Please try and get some well deserved rest oh (note to self! lolz!)

..... and remember keep basking in God's awesome Love ..... It's the most blissful place! Shalom :)

....Angels Among Us! (God's Awesome Love)

"But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions — it is by grace(that) I (you) have been saved"... Ephesians 2:4-5 (NIV)

Happy New Month Dearies. I Pray the good Lord Meet Us all at the Very Point of Our Needs to HIS Awesome Glory! Amen.

So, how have we been? Boy! It’s July already?! We have got to make the best of the time we have here oh. Hmmm. The next minute, we will be wishing each other Merry Christmas, then another new year?...

Today, I want to tell you one experience I had recently, that again confirmed to me how much God really loves me oh (as sure as HE loves you! Yes you! You! and You!)

A few weeks ago, I was involved in this terrible accident. It was awful! But for God’s awesome Love and Protection, maybe Yours Truly would have gone to “Rest in the Father’s Bosom oh… (nah, not a chance folks! Lolz! I’m still here for the loooong haul, if Jesus tarries, so y’all better put up with me…. :)

Where was I? Yes! The accident. Like I said, God truly cares for me oh. It was a very close shave. But for God’s Love, Grace and Mercy, it would have been another story.

That awesome Saturday morning, eve of Resurrection Sunday (Imagine! Easter Saturday, this yeye devil just tried this Special Jesus daughter!) I was driving to pick up our daughters from bible club; which they hadn’t been to in ages, and I took a wrong turn (yea I know, I shouldn’t have, the devil ensured he reminded me, but sincerely, it was an honest mistake)

As I veered off an exit to get to another, (and I thought I was truly clear) a Toyota SUV ran smack into me! (It almost certainly dropped from the sky!) It was as if I had been hit by a tornado and the impact literally spinned my car in a half turn from right to left! (Yes, it was that bad) and in a second the whole front end of the car was squashed!

The miracle(s)? Uncountable!  First, to my awesome relief, not one soul was hurt! (there were seven people including the driver, a woman as well in the other car) as well as myself, every single person was unscathed! Not even a scratch!

Secondly, I hadn’t picked up the girls. Don’t even let us explore the awful possibilities if the girls had been in the car! Hey, Holy Spirit! It wouldn’t have been funny at all!

Third! He sent Divine Comfort (even in the midst of all the castigation! And boy, was I castigated!) “Madam what were thinking? How could you take that turn? You would have just killed yourself for nothing!”  said the Lady Traffic Warden

“Are you blind?” said another voice, “How come you didn’t see the oncoming vehicle?” wow! It was terrible! Not even one person cared to ask if I was ok! :(

And the divine comfort came! Sincerely, He was an angel personified! “Madam are you ok? Are you hurt? Can you try and move the car off the road so you do not get hit by another oncoming vehicle? Where is your phone? Have you called your husband?” He reeled off one reassuring question after the other! Seriously, how could I have remained sane without that voice?

After ensuring I had moved the car, checked that I had all valuables in the car, windows up, doors locked and keys securely in my pocket, He also ensured that I reached my husband on phone after several tries and after that he literally disappeared!

Well, not puff into thin air, but when I looked out for him to say thank you, he was nowhere to be found! It was uncanny! I searched oh, searched amongst the crowd that had now surely gathered to no avail!

Anyway, my own interpretation is that God sent an Angel oh! (believe it or not! For even HIS wording Psalm 91:11-12 says that He has given HIS Angels charge over us to keep us in ALL ways…)

To cut a long story short, that’s how God saved me oh, again as always, from the machinations of the devil!

Are you aware? That we all have the privilege of HIS awesome Love! All we just have to do is Trust, Rest and Believe that God has got us covered at all times….. shikena!

This new month, take a step further, Trust and Believe God more and HE will come through I Promise :)

There’s more to be said about this incidence oh, but let me stop here. We shall continue in a later post.

In the meantime, take care and Keep Basking in God’s awesome Love…It’s the best place to be. Shalom :) !

A Little Seed today, An Acorn Tomorrow…….

Hello dearies, how are you all doing?

Hmmm, where do I begin my apologies this time? Where do I start from? Hmmm again! (Self badgering continues …... hehehe)

I know I am beginning to sound like a broken record, but seriously? I AM SORRY! Sorry I haven’t posted, yet again, in ages! Really! I have got to stop making a habit of this oh. Saying sorry? Not delivering on my promise? Badgering myself? Whew! Somehow, all three has rolled into one!

Since my last post in August, (yes August 2014!) I have had several calls, hints, bb messages, intimidating stare downs by my accountability partners to update my blog to no avail! (SistaB and Husby! *wink *wink! Lolz). I just could not find the time or energy. Hectic work schedule, family commitments, and biggest of all, self doubt all contributed to my not being able to. In fact at a point, I convinced myself that I might as well not bother cracking my head to write anymore, after all, how many people read the blog anyway? I might as well just forget it.

Boy! Was I so wrong!

So, there I was at this wedding and a sis who just gave birth and I hadn’t got around to visit (oh my life!) walked up to me to say hello and promptly introduced her new baby! The guilt piled on! I could almost sink into the ground in shame!  Trust the Holy Spirit to use HIS own awesome ways to bring us back on track J  Of course all the frenzy going on in my mind didn't show on my face. I said a quick hello and a hug and was about to sneak away when….

Sista E:  “Hello Sista D” (she said) “It’s been a while we read from you oh? What’s happening?” (oh my, I thought in my head!)

Me:        “So sorry Sis, its been so hectic! I have barely had time. In fact, I’m considering giving up on the blog jare, it’s giving me too much stress.

Sista E:  “Ha! Don’t give up oh! You have to continue writing. Your write ups touches and encourages a lot of people. Myself especially, and I look forward to it all the time!

Me:        “Really”? (I asked in doubt and surprise)

Sista E:  “Really. Please don’t stop. I am being blessed as I’m sure so many others are

Ha! I was sincerely short of words!

“You see”? Whispered the Holy Spirit …. (Seriously, sometimes I wish the Holy Spirit would drag and scream at me rather than whisper! Lolz!)

People had actually been reading? Being blessed by my seemingly unimportant jabber? Nah! It can’t be!

Well, apparently it seemed so!

We sometimes drift through our days, go about our daily routines, sometimes half heartedly, but then we do not know, the eyes watching, the ears listening! We take some actions, write a note, make a call, post on face book and we don’t know whose life is being touched, encouraged or saved!

I am here to encourage us today J (Yes myself most!) We gotta keep keeping on! There is indeed an audience (so be sure you are living a positively impacting life!)

It may seem like we are not being rewarded or applauded accordingly, but the fact is that Heaven is Happy (the most important audience I dare say) so “whatever our hands find to do, we should endeavor to do well oh! (Colossians 3:23; Ecclesiastes 9:10)

I guess this means y’all see me more often? lolz! Yes, definitely, God my eternal strength.

Mmuah! Stay Encompassed and Cocooned in God's Awesome Love!

Blessings! J

...I'm Sorry.....

Hello People! How have y’all been? It’s been ages I know, I haven’t checked in here in a long while, so I guess It is in order if I say Happy New Year?... lol

Let me begin with an apology. I am so so sorry! I mean, I haven’t posted anything on here since last December! (*covering my face*) And I have so badgered myself! (I do that a lot and it’s got to stop! – badgering myself that is…J )

Yes, I am indeed sorry, because you know; I started this blog following an instruction. I did not just wake up suddenly to decide to blog oh. It was a clear instruction, from the Most High, but see me, being so lazy and not posting nada.

Hmm, actually, not lazy really, I'v just been so caught up with so many events and activities. Yes. We all do. We get so choked up with “other things” that we don’t get around to our God given assignments. We lose sight of our God given vision and then complacency sets in. As time goes on, we settle into our comfort zone, and all the excuses start flowing. In fact after a while, we don’t need the excuses anymore! Yes! I am very guilty of that! What with a very demanding full time job, managing Husby and Treasures…. J  among other things, Whew! Even the best organizer/planner/multi tasker would have had a hard time! So please forgive me, I am back and better by God’s infinite grace.

However, there is another little problem. I can’t think of what to write! Yes, nada!nit! nothing! Despite all the activity and drama in my life this year not even a thing comes to mind. Well, that's not actually true. Several things does come to my mind, but I just can’t seem to form them into something coherent.  Nothing seems to flow from my brain through my fingers to be put in black and white.

I am not a writer, but is this how it feels to have a writer’s block? It’s funny though, because not too long ago, I was almost bursting with words in my head begging to be put on paper! Now here I am, @ I:18am, after staring at my computer  everyday for hours on end for the last few days, still nothing comes to mind L

Wow. This is indeed a new experience oh. I have never been short of words! (well, when I really need them)

But write I must! Because I have made myself accountable, and accountable I must be!  (I will tell you all about being accountable in another post)

Anyways, it’s good to be back. At least I have broken the jinx of not posting anything in almost eight months! Wow! (shame on you devil! )

Don’t worry, in a few days, I will be back up and running…. (*widegrin*)

In the mean time, try not to be fixated on all the drama and turmoil that seems to be going on all around the world right now, rather fix your gaze on God. HE is the only stability in this life of ours, the only safe haven.

As we proceed into this awesome new week, do stay safe under the Covenant Blood of Christ and don’t you ever forget …… you are a masterpiece, a rare gem, lovingly and intricately woven by God J

Blessings…….

PS: RD, SistaB, SistaLiz, I Love you all! *wink* *wink* J

The SUPERrintendent!

….and I am reminded, that God is with me and mine always, even unto the end of the world…. (Mathew 28:20b – adapted)

Hi people! Nobody missed me?.... :( Na wa oh, and I was beginning to think I had started making some impact…. Hmmmm…*deeeep sigh!... ok oh. Soon, hopefully… :)

Anyways, recently I started getting very miffed that a lot of movies seemed to often portray God as a janitor or handyman  (Bruce Almighty, The Fall…etc) and I really got flipping upset! I mean how could they? The Almighty Omnipotent King of Kings? Creator of the whole universe? Naa! It simply didn't gel with my revering heart.

As I struggled with that stereotype in my mind, I asked aloud for the umpteenth time…. “Why must God always be portrayed as a Janitor?” and this time I got an answer;

“He has ALL the Keys”  my dear husband said from somewhere behind me! And it clicked! God is indeed the janitor of our life! How could I have missed that?!

Days after mulling repeatedly over this new revelation, I knew I just had to share this. Lives will be touched hopefully… :)

“A Janitor is said to be ‘a caretaker or doorkeeper of a building”. Synonyms are listed as caretaker, custodian, porter, concierge, steward, warden, watchman, cleaner, maintenance man, superintendent, (I kinda love the sound of that... :)

So what has that got to do with God you may ask? I could go on and on if you let me, but here are just a few points:

- The Janitor works behind the scenes: so how many times do you run into the Janitor? Yet He does clean up after you. Sometimes we leave things in disarray, intuitively knowing that the Janitor would sort it and He does! That’s how God is to us. We don’t see Him, yet we feel Him. Sometimes we do stuff, knowing He will just sort us out and He does all the time, when we put all our trust in Him

- The Janitor shows up only when he’s truly needed: so does the Janitor have a desk in the front office? Or is he in the office next door? Come to think of it, where exactly does he hang out when he’s not working? But He’s just a call away right? Just like our Father in Heaven. All we just need to do is call unto Him, ask Him, cry to Him and He shows up when He’s indeed needed.

- The Janitor our cleaner: Yes indeed. He cleans up after all our messes, he takes out our trash, and he puts everything in disarray back in place. In fact sometimes we leave a stray piece of paper, just because at the back of our mind we know the Janitor is gonna clean up after us. That’s just the way God takes care of us, whether or not we’re aware. Remember that fib you told and got away with? Remember that speeding ticket you were supposed to get but got off with barely a smile? Remember the gas cooker you left on all day and your house didn't go up in flames? Remember all those little or not so little near misses? Remember the car that took an extra five minutes to start and just because of that you missed that accident? Remember that cut you didn't actually take care of that healed anyway? Remember that raise you didn't actually work for? Think about all the seemingly ‘lucky’ happenings? The list is endless!

- The Janitor Has All the Keys: so you lost your keys and can’t get in? He’s got all the spares! Can’t you just remember that large ring that has sooo many keys? Lol! And He always knows which fits which door! Just like our dear God. He holds all the keys to our life’s issues! Imagine losing your keys and all you had to do was call the Janitor to bring his key rings, wait for Him to arrive and open the door with just the right key at one try? If only we would just quit stressing ourselves and simply call on God and wait for Him to surely bring the right keys (if only waiting was easy :)

- The Janitor Sees All: of course He does! He has the keys to every room right? Even the rest rooms and the drawers especially and He is in there even when we are not! In fact He better cleans when we are not there to get in the way! That’s our God. He sees and knows all. Even those things we think we do in secret are all so clear to Him. Yet He still loves us and His mercy transcends all. Just try Him and you’d see!

- The Janitor the Superintendent: doesn't that give a warm feeling? A Superintendent! That’s like some Uniformed Military General with strong able arms to protect us from all danger! An Administrator, An Overseer. In charge of everything! To sort out the issues of our lives for us! Isn't that wonderful? God has indeed got our back in all things, how about just committing to Him.

- The Janitor we never remember to thank: hmm, sore point there. So with all the things the janitor does for us, cleans, maintains, takes out our trash, makes sure broken stuff is fixed, among a million other things, how many times have we said a little thank you? Or even given him as little as a thank you smile? Minimally paid (usually the least paid) yet he keeps at his job without fail. That is our God. He does so much for us yet we don’t ever remember to say thank you. He saved us in exchange for His son, yet we take Him for granted. He watches over us, He provides for us, His Love, His Mercy matchless in Heaven and the Earth, yet our non gratitude doesn't stop Him.

It’s never too late though. His arms are ever open and He is always ready to help, regardless. So, how about that long overdue whisper of thanks to the Superintendent of the Whole Universe, at least you have the privilege of reading this… :)

Keep Soaring as High as U dare, for You are a gem, intricately woven by God.... :)
